He hopes that the VF-24 will perform well at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, which has a unique street circuit layout with low-speed corners and unforgiving consequences for mistakes. The lower downforce level of the track, combined with the characteristics of the VF-24, could be advantageous for Haas. Komatsu believes that the team has been more competitive on circuits with less downforce this year due to the efficiency of their car. Hulkenberg has performed well for Haas, especially in qualifying. However, the German driver had a significant drop in position during the 2023 Canadian Grand Prix. He is optimistic for a better result this time and considers Montreal his favorite track on the calendar.
