The Swedish manufacturer of supercars, Koenigsegg, has revealed an exclusive version of its iconic Agera R, marking the launch of the Legends Division program.
The sports model, a one-off order, was presented on social media by the company’s founder, Christian von Koenigsegg, who described the project as “a very interesting reinterpretation” of the original Agera R, the supercar launched in 2011 with 1140 horsepower and a top speed of 420 km/h.
Although the original Agera R contributed to establishing Koenigsegg’s high-performance reputation, benefiting from a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine as well as a carbon monocoque chassis, this latest project allows for a fusion of the classic with current standards of style and functionality.
This was made possible by Koenigsegg’s new Legends Division, which aims to reinvent the brand’s classic models, in this case collaborating with the brand’s official dealer in the United Kingdom, SuperVettura, to deliver this exclusive version of the Agera R.
This effort allows Koenigsegg to offer owners customized restorations that maintain historical integrity while introducing advanced technology and materials.
Externally, this special version of the Agera R features a diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating on all exposed metal components, combined with a dark green exterior with red accents.
Inside, the transformation is more pronounced. The original cabin has been replaced with a fully Alcantara interior, carbon sports seats in the style of One:1, and six-point seat belts. Additionally, a retro-style instrument panel inspired by the CC850 has been introduced.
“Everything in this model seems like it could have been built today”, said von Christian Koenigsegg, suggesting that more projects like this may emerge in the near future.
