Kia has revealed the first images of the K4, the new compact sedan that will be unveiled at the New York Auto Show next week.
Inspired by Kia’s “Opposites United” design philosophy and, in particular, the “Power to Progress” pillar, the exterior of the new generation K4 symbolizes the brand’s relentless determination to create the most inspiring, innovative, and aesthetically advanced mobility solutions.
“Every contour, curve, and detail of the K4 has been carefully considered and crafted to adhere to Kia’s design philosophy, Opposites United, bringing together clean faceted surfaces and technological details in a bold and cohesive design statement”, says Karim Habib, Executive Vice President and Head of Kia Global Design.
The front section is marked by vertical headlights, positioned at the ends of the section, while the daytime running lights integrate with horizontal chrome strips to accentuate the sophisticated appeal of the K4.
The latest iteration of Kia’s star map lighting technology, based on the “constellation” theme, creates a further evolution of the brand’s Tiger Face signature.
The rear stands out for the vertical taillights positioned at the ends, for a muscular bumper, with an incorporated diffuser that enhances the sporty look of this model.
Inside, the highlight is the unique screen that combines the instrument panel and the infotainment system, along with a set of physical controls for the ventilation system and volume adjustment, as well as shortcuts for navigation and other frequently used functions. In addition, Kia also revealed that the K4 features a variety of new finishes, materials, patterns, and seat colors to further accentuate the sophisticated and luxurious feel of the new K4’s interior.
The presentation of the new model from the South Korean brand is scheduled for March 27th at the New York Auto Show.
