Kia continues to work on its first pick-up, Tasman, which will be presented in the second half of 2024 and hit the market in 2025.
The South Korean brand has now revealed a teaser for the upcoming series of the documentary “One More Round,” which showcases the rigorous development process of the Tasman, with a focus on the intensive tests carried out by Kia’s first pick-up in Australia.
Developed as a direct competitor to the Ford Ranger, Toyota Hilux, and Isuzu D-Max, the Kia Tasman is expected to come with a completely new platform, all-wheel drive, and everything indicates that it will use a 2.2-liter CRDi four-cylinder engine from the brand, with a future possibility of offering a hybrid powertrain.
With a distinctive design, the Tasman features vertical headlights, squared and generously sized wheel arch protectors, and plenty of storage space. As standard, the Tasman will come with 18-inch alloy wheels and tires for more off-road driving than on asphalt.
Kia believes that with the Tasman, it will redefine the concept of pick-up and allow for a dynamic lifestyle 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, catering to various personal and leisure activities of its users.
