Kia has announced the start of sales in the national market of the new PV5, a model that inaugurates a new line of vehicles for specific purposes from the brand, fully electric and customizable, according to the needs of each customer and the type of use.

The new Kia PV5 arrives in the national market with L2H1 specification in the Passenger variants, aimed at transporting passengers, and Cargo, focused on professional and logistics activities, marking the entry of the South Korean brand into the light commercial vehicle segment.

The Passenger variant comes equipped with a 163 hp electric motor, powered by a 71.2 kWh battery, and boasts a range of up to 412 km. In terms of charging, Kia announces that this variant allows for fast battery charging, enabling a charge from 10 to 80% of the battery capacity in 30 minutes.

The PV5 Passenger is equipped with the latest convenience features, allowing for a quick transition between personal and professional use whenever necessary. The model has a liftgate and various seating configuration options, in addition to enabling the installation and use of various accessories for a wide range of purposes.

The cargo space in the standard 5-seat configuration is 1320 liters, which can reach a maximum of 2300 liters. The reclining and folding capabilities of the second-row seats, combined with a flat loading floor, provide ideal conditions for a camping trip or other family activities. Kia has also announced that a seven-seat version will hit the market later.

The Cargo variant is available with two power levels, an entry-level version with a 122 hp electric motor powered by a 51.5 kWh battery, with a range of up to 297 km, and another with a 163 hp electric motor and a 71.2 kWh capacity battery, which claims a combined cycle range of up to 416 km.
