Kia apresenta o K4 que vai chegar ao mercado no final do ano

Kia has unveiled the new K4 hatchback, successor to the Ceed, which will hit the European market by the end of the year, to compete with the VW Golf and the Peugeot 308. Produced in Mexico, the new K4 will arrive in Europe in the hatchback variant, while in the US a sedan version will also be available.

The differences between the versions intended for the US and Europe also include differences in the engine options, as the models for the US will feature a base version equipped with a naturally aspirated 2.0 inline four-cylinder engine, with 174 hp, while in Europe, the K4 will offer a 1.0 turbo engine, with 113 hp, paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed DCT automatic transmission.

Available for both markets will be a variant equipped with a 1.6 turbocharged engine, with 150 hp for Europe, and 190 hp for the US, both versions with DCT transmission. A hybrid version is expected to be added to the lineup later, which should reach the market in 2026.

The new Kia K4 features a wheelbase of 2.72 meters, which anticipates generous space in the cabin, particularly for rear seat passengers.

In addition, the successor to the Ceed offers a trunk with a capacity of 438 liters, and the cabin is equipped with a 12.3” instrument panel, a 5.3” climate control screen, along with an infotainment system featuring a 12.3” touchscreen.

Kia has already announced that wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and an AI voice assistant are standard on all models, while a smartphone induction charger is included in the top versions, along with a Harman Kardon audio system.

Kia has not yet revealed the prices of the new K4 for Europe, but it is expected that they will be in line with its rivals.
