Kevin Harvick, the winner of the 2014 NASCAR Cup, has retired from full-time racing in 2023, bringing an end to his successful NASCAR career that spanned over two decades. Currently, he is enjoying his leisure time, spending quality moments with his family, while also staying connected to the sport he is passionate about as a broadcaster for Fox Sports.
Recently, Harvick made a comeback to racing by participating in a late model race event in the CARS Tour. He is a co-owner of the series alongside the renowned Trackhouse Racing’s Hall of Famer and former teammate. However, his return to racing after a long break did not go according to plan, as he realized that he had become slower compared to the regular drivers.
Despite this setback, Harvick expressed his excitement about hosting the race at North Wilkesboro, a track that has been revived recently under the leadership of Dale Jr. This historic venue has hosted the last two All-star race weekends, adding to its significance.
Due to his commitments with Fox Sports, Harvick missed out on a significant amount of racing. Now, he is eager to utilize his off-time to participate in more racing events, including potential future CARS Tour races in the upcoming weeks.
Fans are eagerly anticipating Harvick’s return to the track, as they look forward to being entertained by the veteran racer. It will be intriguing to witness how the former Cup champion fares against the young and ambitious drivers in the upcoming races.
