Ken Block passed away in 2023 following a snowmobile accident, but the former American driver and founder of Hoonigan owned a vast collection of radical models and participated in various competitions behind the wheel of cars with a rich sporting history.
Among these models is a 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX STI, which Ken Block and Travis Pastrana used in several rallies. Built by Vermont SportsCar and used by Block and Pastrana from 2007 to 2008 in the Production World Rally Championship, this Subaru is equipped with a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, and while power and torque figures are not known, they will certainly exceed the 265 hp and 343 Nm of torque of the stock model.
Inside, this Subaru prepared by Vermont SportsCar features everything one would expect in a rally competition model, including Sparco Circuit II halo seats, a Momo steering wheel, a fire suppression system, intercom, as well as fire extinguishers, among other details.
The Block and Pastrana Subaru WRX STI is now being auctioned by “Cars & Bids”, and the latest bid has already reached $75,000, which is approximately €71,300.
