Karma Kaveya: coupé elétrico com mais de 1000 cv já pode ser encomendado

A Fisker Automotive, an American company known for the plug-in hybrid model Karma, filed for bankruptcy in 2013, facilitating its acquisition by the Wanxiang Group, a Chinese investment group that bought assets including projects, plug-in hybrid powertrain, and a factory in Wilmington, Delaware. Since then, the company has struggled to remain relevant in the luxury car segment, but only now has it launched its most ambitious plan ever, under the direction of new CEO Marques McCammon, formerly of General Motors, and with an entirely new design team led by Michelle Christensen, the woman behind the aesthetics of the Acura NSX.

The relaunch program of Karma Automotive officially started this weekend in Las Vegas with the presentation of an updated version of its electric Revero, with extended range, and the spectacular Kaveya, an elegant coupe measuring 4,768 mm in length, 45 mm more than the Aston Martin DB12. Among the most special elements of the highly stylized bodywork are the retractable headlights and the vertically opening doors to access the very futuristic-style cockpit.

The Kaveya is available in rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions, with two power levels: 536 hp in the single motor configuration or 1196 hp and 1720 Nm in the Dual Motor version, with electric motors on both axles. For this top variant, Karma announces less than 3.0 seconds in the 0-1100 km/h sprint and a top speed of 290 km/h. In both cases, the battery has a capacity of 120 kWh, providing up to 402 km of range.

The Karma Kaveya has limited production, with only 353 units available for order upon reservation for €9350. The launch is scheduled for 2025.
