Trackhouse Racing, the powerhouse team co-owned by NASCAR veteran Justin Marks and global entertainer Pitbull, is rapidly establishing itself as a force across multiple motorsports platforms. With success in NASCAR, an upcoming debut in the 24 Hours of Daytona, and even a presence in MotoGP, Marks has now revealed the team’s ultimate aspiration: competing in the iconic Indianapolis 500.

The Indy 500 Dream: “The Time Will Come”

In a recent interview, Marks opened up about Trackhouse’s long-term vision, emphasizing that participation in the Indy 500 has been part of the team’s dream since its founding in 2021.

“It’s certainly a dream of mine to have Trackhouse represented in that race. There are continuing discussions. It’s no small feat. It’s something that we’ve looked at as a company for several years.”

Marks made it clear that while the Indy 500 remains on the radar, Trackhouse Racing is waiting for the right moment to make its move. The team is focused on its current commitments but sees its presence at The Brickyard as an inevitable chapter in its story.

“I think when the time is right, we’ll take a real hard look at it. I don’t think that the Trackhouse story will ever be complete without us competing in the world’s greatest open-wheel race.”

Balancing Growth with Priorities

Trackhouse Racing’s recent expansion has been nothing short of meteoric. From their NASCAR Cup Series success to debuting in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in 2025, the team is making waves across motorsports. However, Marks acknowledges the logistical and competitive challenges of managing multiple high-profile ventures.

One major initiative, Project 91, aims to bring global racing stars to NASCAR. While it’s garnered significant attention, Marks revealed that their three full-time NASCAR entries for next season will take precedence.

“When it comes to kind of the future of Project 91 and how we view the program, it really has to fit around competitive and effective workflow for our three full-time cars.”

Why Indy Matters

The Indianapolis 500 is widely regarded as the crown jewel of open-wheel racing and one of the most prestigious events in global motorsport. For Trackhouse Racing, entering the race represents not just a competitive ambition but a chance to solidify its status as a truly global racing brand.

Marks emphasized the importance of timing and preparation, noting that the resources and expertise required to be competitive at the Indy 500 are immense. However, his commitment to bringing Trackhouse to the race signals a bold step forward for the team.

The Bigger Picture: Expanding the Trackhouse Legacy

With its roots in NASCAR, Trackhouse Racing has already transcended the boundaries of traditional motorsports teams. Its presence in endurance racing, international outreach through Project 91, and now potential open-wheel ambitions highlight a forward-thinking approach rarely seen in the industry.

Marks’ vision is clear: Trackhouse Racing isn’t just building a team; it’s building a legacy.
