Dürksen Dominates the F2 Sprint Race at the 2026 Australian Grand Prix!

In a stunning display of speed and strategy, Joshua Dürksen has claimed victory in the highly anticipated opening race of the Formula 2 season at the iconic Albert Park Circuit, coinciding with the electrifying 2026 F1 Australian Grand Prix. Dürksen, driving for Invicta Racing, showcased his prowess by starting strong from the front row, maneuvering past Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak early in the race, and maintaining a commanding lead that left his competitors trailing in his wake.

Noel Leon of Campos Racing secured a commendable second place, while Alex Dunne from Rodin Motorsport clinched the third podium spot, capitalizing on a five-second time penalty imposed on his teammate Martinius Stenshorne. As the dust settled, Inthraphuvasak, who began from reverse grid pole, managed to finish fifth, with Ritomo Miyata rounding out the top five finishes.

The race took a twist as Stenshorne, who initially crossed the line in third, was shockingly demoted to tenth place due to the penalty, leaving him out of the points entirely. Meanwhile, debutant Colton Herta faced challenges and concluded the race in 16th position, a disappointing start for the newcomer.

This sprint race not only set the tone for the season ahead but also highlighted the fierce competition and high stakes of Formula 2 racing.
