John Elkann’s Reign Threatened: F1 Power Struggles Unveiled in 2025

The world of Formula 1 is not only about thrilling races on the track but also about power struggles behind the scenes that can make or break careers and teams. In a sport where every decision counts, the most influential figures hold the key to success and dominance. From seasoned veterans to rising stars, the F1 Power List of 2025 is a battleground where egos clash and alliances shift.

At the top of the list sits a name that reverberates through the paddock – John Elkann. As the chairman of Ferrari, Elkann wields immense power, with the ability to sway the direction of the sport. With Ferrari’s historic legacy and unrivaled influence, Elkann’s decisions could reshape the landscape of Formula 1 for years to come.

Following closely behind is Derek Chang, the president and CEO of Liberty Media, F1’s owners. In a sport where money talks, Chang plays a pivotal role in shaping the commercial future of F1. Working hand in hand with F1’s top dog, Stefano Domenicali, Chang navigates the intricate web of sporting and business decisions to ensure the sport’s growth and profitability.

Speaking of Domenicali, the former Ferrari team principal turned F1 CEO is a force to be reckoned with. With years of experience in the sport, Domenicali’s leadership has ushered in a new era of F1, balancing tradition with innovation. His strategic vision and deep-rooted ties to Ferrari make him a linchpin in the F1 hierarchy.

Not to be overlooked is Lewis Hamilton, the seven-time world champion whose star power transcends the sport. As one of the most recognizable faces in F1, Hamilton’s influence extends far beyond the racetrack, shaping trends and sparking conversations both within and outside the sport.

Rounding out the top five are Ola Kallenius, the CEO of Mercedes-Benz Group, and Mohammed Ben Sulayem, the president of the FIA. While Kallenius holds the keys to Mercedes’ future in F1, Ben Sulayem’s position at the helm of the FIA gives him the authority to make pivotal decisions that impact the sport at large.

In a sport where every move is calculated and every decision holds weight, the F1 Power List of 2025 showcases the individuals who hold the fate of Formula 1 in their hands. As the season unfolds, the power dynamics will continue to shift, shaping the future of the sport and crowning new titans in the world of Formula 1.
