Stellantis has appointed Brazilian João Laranjo as the new Chief Financial Officer, the group announced this Monday. In a statement, Stellantis noted that João Laranjo will assume the position immediately, replacing Doug Ostermann, who resigned from the company for personal reasons.
Laranjo began his career at General Electric in 2001, working as an Associate Auditor and later as Controller of GE Healthcare in South America.
In 2009, he joined Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) as Director of Accounting for Latin America, rising to the position of Chief Financial Officer for the region, where he played an important role in financial transformation and regional growth. In 2017, he was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Stellantis North America. In 2024, he joined Goodyear as Vice President of Finance, and returned to Stellantis earlier this year as Chief Financial Officer of Stellantis North America.
“I have worked closely with João for 15 years and witnessed his rise in his career. I have always been impressed by his results-oriented mindset and his deep understanding of the complexities of our industry”, said Antonio Filosa, CEO of Stellantis. “I would also like to thank Doug Ostermann for his many years of dedicated service to FCA and Stellantis”, Filosa added.
