Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr has been deemed a non-factor by ESPN’s Rich Cimini. Cimini suggests that the New York Jets should pass on Beckham Jr if he wants to play for them as a free agent. Despite joining the Ravens on a one-year, $15 million deal, Beckham Jr failed to live up to expectations in the 2023 season. With just 35 receptions for 565 receiving yards and three touchdowns, his performance was lackluster.

In a recent episode of the “Punch Line Podcast,” Beckham Jr revealed that he had initially planned to join the Jets in 2023. However, the Ravens presented him with an ultimatum, leading him to change his mind. The desire to return to New York, where his career began with the Giants, made the Jets an attractive option for Beckham Jr. Additionally, Aaron Rodgers had expressed his interest in playing alongside Beckham Jr, further fueling speculation about a potential reunion in 2024.

Beckham Jr’s recent seasons have been plagued by injuries, with his last full season being in 2019. Coincidentally, that was also the last time he surpassed the 1,000-yard receiving mark. While Beckham Jr possesses immense talent, his recent performances have not justified his high price tag.

In other news, the Jets and Rex Hogan have mutually agreed to part ways. Hogan, who served as the team’s assistant general manager for the past five seasons, will now have the opportunity to explore other opportunities. Known for his respected reputation around the league, Hogan is expected to be a sought-after front office free agent.

Hogan’s Departure from the Jets Raises Questions

In a shocking turn of events, Rex Hogan has parted ways with the New York Jets. Hogan, who had two separate stints with the team, initially served as the senior director of college scouting from 2015 to 2017. After a brief stint with the Indianapolis Colts, he returned to the Jets in 2019 as the assistant GM. However, his tenure with the team came to an end at the conclusion of the 2023 season.

While the news of Hogan’s departure was only recently made public by Hughes, according to ESPN’s Rich Cimini, it actually happened a few weeks ago. This clarification from Cimini aims to dispel the swirling speculation on social media. Many have speculated that Hogan may have been the source of a major report published by The Athletic on the same day he left the team.

The timing of Hogan’s departure raises eyebrows, as it coincides with the release of a significant report. The report, which contained a wealth of insider information, led some to believe that Hogan was the leak. However, Cimini’s statement attempts to put an end to these rumors. Yet, as we all know, social media has a way of perpetuating speculation, so the saga continues for the Jets in what has already been a tumultuous week.

In conclusion, the New York Jets find themselves facing yet another major shakeup with the departure of Rex Hogan. As the team navigates these uncertain times, only time will tell what lies ahead for this storied franchise.
