The Red Bull dominated Formula 1 clearly last year, especially with Max Verstappen. For the first time in history, they managed to have their two drivers in the top two positions, as Sergio Pérez finished second.
In less than two months, another season begins and there are two questions – who will be the main rivals of the Austrians this year and will anyone be able to beat them? Jenson Button made his predictions to Sky Sports about who could give Red Bull the most trouble: ‘Mercedes. When you look at the last ten years in the sport, it’s Mercedes and Red Bull, so it would be Mercedes’.
There are rumors that Ferrari may have found considerable gains in their new car, but the 2009 world champion has less confidence in the Maranello team, as he explained: ‘I would love to say Ferrari, I would love to have them in the fight. You can say they were the closest rival in the final part of the [2023] season, but I believe Mercedes will have a good improvement. Whether it’s enough [to fight for the title], I don’t know’.
