Jeep Avenger híbrido ganha versão com tração integral

Jeep presented on Wednesday the Avenger 4xe, the all-wheel drive version of the compact SUV from the American brand with 48V Mild-hybrid technology, to provide better electrified off-road performance.

Thus, the 4xe variant combines a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder thermal engine, with 136 hp of power with two 21 kW (28 hp) electric motors each, capable of driving both axles and ensuring a torque of 1900 Nm available on the rear wheels. Benefiting from “power looping” technology, the new Avenger 4xe ensures traction on all wheels, regardless of the battery charge status.

Associated with a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, for driving in fully electric mode at low speeds thanks to its integrated electric motor, this configuration not only enhances the relaxed performance that Jeep enthusiasts desire, but also introduces an added level of excitement through the E-Boost function in Sport Mode.

The 4xe powertrain sets a new benchmark in the Avenger hybrid range, offering higher power and torque, with an additional 36 hp and 25 Nm compared to the e-Hybrid FWD version. This results in quicker acceleration and a higher top speed, while maintaining a minimal increase in CO2 emissions.

As a result, the Avenger 4xe accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.5 seconds and is capable of reaching a top speed of up to 194 km/h (+10 km/h compared to the e-hybrid version)

Exclusive to the Avenger 4xe is the new Multilink rear suspension, developed and implemented by Jeep. This feature, usually found in larger vehicles, improves the articulation of the rear axle, resulting in greater comfort on uneven roads.

For more adventurous outings, the new all-wheel-drive variant of the Avenger comes with improved off-road capabilities (approach angles of 22°, ventral of 21°, and departure of 35°), along with an increased ground clearance of 210 mm, and a wading capacity that has grown to 400 mm.

This robust performance effortlessly combines power with ecological awareness, and thanks to the combination of all-wheel drive and hybrid technology, it allows for reduced fuel consumption and emissions.

True to the DNA of the American brand, the new variant of the Jeep Avenger fully embraces the off-road spirit, with redesigned elements and new details, such as front and rear bumpers made of scratch-resistant material, a more robust and protected lower grille and radar, raised fog lights, new roof bars, and a rear tow hook, essential for off-road adventures.

The standard equipment includes M+S tires that promise reliable traction in various weather conditions, with optional All Terrain tires available for increased grip on demanding terrains. The wheels are also black to ensure aesthetic quality over time, regardless of the terrain and driving contexts in which it is used.

The interior remains almost unchanged, with the novelty being in the materials that cover the seats, made from unusual materials, completely washable and durable, twice as resistant as conventional ones.

It is already known that the new Jeep Avenger 4xe will debut two new trim levels: Upland and Overland, with orders expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2024.
