With two World Rally Championship (WRC) titles at the age of 23, Kalle Rovanperä has little to prove in the sport. He became the sixth in history to be champion two years in a row.
After sealing the victory at the Central Europe Rally in late October, rumors emerged about 2024 and the motivation of the young Finn – including a possible part-time season to fulfill military service in Finland.
Toyota relies on Rovanperä and his team boss, Jari-Matti Latvala, spoke about the motivation factor. According to Motorsport.com, he stated when asked what can keep the driver motivated: ‘I think he needs to think about establishing and breaking records. I believe that is what gives you the desire’.
