Jamie Chadwick is set to step back into the Formula E spotlight, as Jaguar TCS Racing has confirmed her participation in the Jeddah rookie free practice session next week.

The three-time W Series Champion and Indy NXT race-winner will once again test the Jaguar I-TYPE 7, marking another step in her growing involvement with the all-electric series.

Chadwick’s Growing Formula E Role

This isn’t Chadwick’s first outing with Jaguar. She previously impressed at the all-female test in Jarama last November, setting the second-fastest time of the day.

Now, she returns to support Jaguar’s preparations for the first-ever Formula E race in Jeddah, providing valuable data and feedback on the new circuit.

Chadwick: “I Am Relishing the Opportunity”

Reacting to the announcement, Chadwick expressed her excitement about rejoining the team.

“I am looking forward to driving for Jaguar TCS Racing at the Jeddah E-Prix,” Chadwick said.

“It was a great experience to drive the Jaguar I-TYPE 7 in Madrid last year and work closely with a World Championship-winning team, so I am relishing the opportunity to get behind the wheel again at a brand-new circuit.”

Recognizing the importance of the rookie session, she emphasized the role she’ll play in gathering crucial data.

“It is the first time Formula E has raced in Jeddah, so I know how important my feedback, data, and insights on the race car and the track will be for the team.”

Jaguar TCS Racing Praises Chadwick’s Contribution

Jaguar’s Team Principal James Barclay was full of praise for Chadwick’s prior work with the team and highlighted the significance of her role in Jeddah.

“It is great to have Jamie back with Jaguar TCS Racing for the Rookie Free Practice session in Jeddah next week,” Barclay said.

“We are committed to supporting the next generation of driver talent in Formula E, and rookie tests are a great opportunity to showcase this.”

Her previous pace and professionalism in Madrid made her a clear choice for this test.

“Jamie did a great job for the team at the women’s test in Madrid, both with her speed and professional approach, and we look forward to having her in the car once again.”

Barclay also pointed out the unique importance of this session, as Chadwick will be the first driver to test Jaguar’s Formula E car at the new Jeddah circuit.

“Jamie will be the first driver to get behind the wheel of the Jaguar I-TYPE 7 at the new Jeddah circuit, and so her insights from the session will be hugely important to our race preparations.”

Beyond Formula E: Chadwick’s Expanding Racing Portfolio

Chadwick’s return to Formula E testing comes at a time when she is expanding her racing career into multiple disciplines.

Alongside her work in Formula E, she has been announced as part of this year’s European Le Mans Series grid, racing for IDEC Sport in sportscars—a category she last competed in seven years ago.

Additionally, Chadwick will be involved in Formula E’s television coverage, further embedding herself within the championship.

What’s Next for Chadwick?

While her immediate future in Formula E remains uncertain, Chadwick’s involvement with Jaguar could be a stepping stone toward a future race seat.

With Formula E’s commitment to diversifying its driver lineup, this latest test ensures that Chadwick remains in the mix as a potential future full-time driver in the series.
