The world of Formula 1 is buzzing as Williams team principal James Vowles gets behind the wheel of Nigel Mansell’s legendary FW14B ahead of the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed. This iconic car, with its rich history of championships, is set to roar up the hill climb with Vowles at the helm, alongside F1 stars Lia Block and Jamie Chadwick.
Vowles couldn’t contain his excitement after his test run with the FW14B, calling it “one of the most incredible days of my career.” He shared his thrill on social media, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to drive a car he once watched on TV over 30 years ago. The anticipation for the Goodwood event is palpable, with Vowles looking forward to the adrenaline-pumping cheers of the crowd as they ascend the famous hill.
The 1992 F1 champion, Nigel Mansell himself, will also be gracing the event with his presence, driving not only the FW14B but also his race-winning FW11. The lineup of F1 legends at the festival is nothing short of spectacular, featuring names like Alain Prost, Mario Andretti, Sir Jackie Stewart, Emerson Fittipaldi, Mika Hakkinen, and Jacques Villeneuve.
