BREAKING NEWS: Jak Crawford Set to Ignite the Abu Dhabi GP with Aston Martin Return!

In a thrilling announcement that has sent shockwaves through the motorsport community, Aston Martin has officially confirmed that rising star Jak Crawford will take the wheel of the AMR25 for the second time this season during the crucial FP1 session at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. This weekend marks not just the finale of the 2025 season, but also a golden opportunity for promising rookies to showcase their talent on the illustrious Formula 1 stage.

Following the recent reveal by Williams, which named Luke Browning as their own rookie contender, Aston Martin has now added to the excitement with their own high-profile confirmation. Crawford, who made a sensational debut in Mexico earlier this season, is set to make his second appearance at the iconic Yas Marina Circuit, replacing Lance Stroll in a move that underscores the team’s commitment to nurturing young talent.

Currently locked in a fierce battle for the Formula 2 championship against Leonardo Fornaroli, Crawford will be bringing the heat to Abu Dhabi. His recent comments reflect his eagerness and determination: “I’m thrilled to get back behind the wheel of the AMR25 for the second time this season. This year, I’ve dedicated countless hours to the simulator at the AMR Technology Campus, and translating that work onto the track is incredibly rewarding. The experience in Mexico was a major learning opportunity, and I can’t wait to build on that in both the FP1 session and the upcoming young driver test.”

But that’s not all! In a move that solidifies his standing within the team, Crawford has been confirmed as Aston Martin’s third driver for the 2026 season, marking a significant step in his burgeoning career. Team Principal Andy Cowell expressed his enthusiasm for Crawford’s development, stating, “It’s fantastic to see Jak back in the car so soon after Mexico. Increasing his mileage and maintaining momentum is exactly what we aim for in developing our young drivers. This session in Abu Dhabi will be a pivotal part of his preparation for his new role as third driver next year, and we are excited to continue supporting his growth.”

As the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix approaches, all eyes will be on Jak Crawford—this is a chance for him to etch his name into the annals of Formula 1 history. Will he seize this opportunity and turn it into a stepping stone for future success? The stage is set, and the world is watching!
