Jaguar Land Rover e Meridian renovam parceria para o futuro eletrificado

Jaguar continues to make headlines, and after the surprise it caused with the announcement of its new visual identity, it has now announced that it will buy back 2,760 units of the I-Pace sold in the U.S., all due to the fire risk associated with the 100% electric SUV.

The British brand remains concerned about battery overheating in some 2019 I-Pace models, and despite having already called several vehicles in for software-based corrections, some models continue to experience thermal overloads.

In this way, Jaguar aims to put an end to the problem and has decided to buy back 2,760 units of the I-Pace from customers.

Recall that last August, Jaguar recommended that owners of 2019 I-Pace models in the U.S. park their vehicles outside and away from buildings, while also providing a new update intended to limit the battery’s charging capacity to 80% in order to prevent excessive heating.

Jaguar has already revealed that it will transform into a 100% luxury electric brand starting in 2026, and on the next December 2, it will present the concept that anticipates the next generation of electric models from the British brand.
