Australian driver Jack Doohan faced a tumultuous start to the Japanese Grand Prix weekend, with a brutal crash during FP2 that left fans and experts alike on edge. Despite missing out on FP1 and struggling to find his footing, Doohan remains determined to bounce back and make his mark on the race.

The young racer revealed that a technical error, failing to deactivate his DRS, led to the heart-stopping crash into the tire barriers. Speaking candidly about the incident, Doohan expressed the challenges of regaining his confidence for the upcoming sessions, emphasizing the importance of quickly adapting to unforeseen setbacks in the high-stakes world of Formula 1.

Doohan likened the demanding Suzuka circuit to a unforgiving street track, where every session is crucial for fine-tuning performance. Reflecting on his qualifying performance, he acknowledged pushing the limits a bit too far, conceding that a bit more caution could have made a significant difference in the outcome.

Despite internal struggles and a quest for optimal car setup in high-speed corners, Doohan remains optimistic about his potential in the race. He highlighted the progress made from P3 to Q3, underscoring his commitment to maximizing the opportunities presented during the remainder of the weekend.

Looking ahead to the race day, Doohan expressed hope for favorable weather conditions to aid his quest for redemption on the track. With a forecast hinting at wet conditions, the Australian driver sees an opportunity to showcase his skills and climb up the grid, eager to capitalize on any chance to shine under challenging circumstances.
