Jack Doohan’s Fatal Mistake in Suzuka: Is Colapinto Taking Over in Bahrain?

In a shocking turn of events at Suzuka, a fatal error could mark the end for Jack Doohan at Alpine, with rumors swirling around Franco Colapinto’s potential debut in Bahrain.

Former German driver, Ralf Schumacher, didn’t hold back in his assessment of the situation, stating that Doohan’s future at Alpine hangs in the balance following a disastrous accident during the Japanese GP’s FP2 session. The Australian rookie, who failed to impress Flavio Briatore from the get-go, may have sealed his fate after pushing the limits and wrecking the A524 car in a high-speed crash. Reports even suggest that Doohan suffered physical discomfort post-crash, further complicating his predicament.

As Doohan was forced to sit out the FP1 session at Suzuka to make way for Ryo Hirakawa, speculation is rife that his time at Alpine could be cut short sooner than expected. Schumacher hinted at a potential premature exit for Doohan, highlighting Hirakawa’s impressive performance and casting doubt on the Australian’s future with the team. The pressure is on for Doohan to prove his worth, but time may be running out faster than he anticipated.

Meanwhile, the absence of Franco Colapinto at Suzuka raised eyebrows, with theories surfacing about a possible hand injury sidelining Doohan and paving the way for the Argentinian driver’s debut. Colapinto’s presence at Monza for a 2023 car testing session added fuel to the speculation fire, hinting at a potential shake-up in Alpine’s driver lineup.

With Colapinto waiting in the wings and Doohan’s future hanging by a thread, the upcoming Bahrain GP promises to be a pivotal race that could reshape the landscape of Alpine’s driver roster. Stay tuned for more updates as this high-stakes drama unfolds in the world of Formula 1.
