In an innovative move, Ferrari, led by John Elkann, successfully recruited Lewis Hamilton, the greatest driver of this era, to Maranello. This strategic move is about to kick off an extraordinary era for the Tifosi, as they have also managed to secure the services of the greatest designer in Formula 1, whose identity has been the subject of much speculation. The recent scandal involving Christian Horner and the subsequent rift within the Red Bull team only fueled the rumors of this monumental signing. Reports suggest that an incredible $100 million per year deal was finalized in London, solidifying Hamilton’s move to Ferrari.

The renowned Italian publication, La Gazzetta dello Sport, reported today that Ferrari is almost certain to be the future destination of the highly sought-after designer. A meeting between Ferrari’s team principal, Frederic Vasseur, and the designer himself took place in London, further fueling speculation. The purpose of the meeting was to prepare for the imminent arrival of the English designer to Maranello, following in the footsteps of Lewis Hamilton. John Elkann is assembling a super team to secure Hamilton’s pursuit of an eighth Formula 1 title and bring the championship back to Maranello, a feat that has eluded them since 2007.

However, Ferrari’s ambitions do not stop there. The report suggests that they are also interested in acquiring the services of Pierre Waché from Red Bull. Waché, currently serving as technical director, has shown willingness to make the move. Unfortunately, contractual obligations may prevent an early departure for him. On the other hand, it is believed that Newey, at 65 years old, will have to serve a period of “paid leave” as part of his severance package. This means he will be able to enjoy some time traveling the world before embarking on what will likely be his final chapter in Formula 1, much like Lewis Hamilton, who is 39 years old.

Despite the waiting period for Newey, it is reported that he will be allowed to immediately start working on the 2026 Formula 1 car project. An official announcement from Ferrari is expected after the Miami Grand Prix, although it may happen sooner, as details of this groundbreaking hiring seem to have leaked. With the addition of Newey to the team, Ferrari will have assembled a Super Team, consisting of Hamilton, Charles Leclerc, and the renowned designer. This combination has the potential to replicate the success of the team that propelled Michael Schumacher to win five consecutive titles at the beginning of the century.
