Isuzu has revealed that it will present at the Bangkok Motor Show in Thailand the first fully electric pickup truck based on the well-known D-Max, maintaining all the payload and towing characteristics of the combustion versions, and that it will arrive in European markets in 2025.
The brand has already revealed that the 100% electric D-Max was developed to meet a wide range of commercial and passenger vehicle needs, while at the same time maintaining the expected basic performance of a pickup truck.
The permanent 4WD traction system with newly developed front and rear e-Axles promises to offer excellent performance on uneven surfaces, as well as a characteristic linear acceleration feel of fully electric vehicles.
Furthermore, Isuzu ensures that the high towing capacity is guaranteed by the adoption of high-power electric motors, along with a robust body structure design.
The 100% electric D-Max will be equipped with an electric motor on the front axle producing 53 hp and a maximum torque of 108 Nm, which pairs with a rear axle electric motor of 121 hp and 217 Nm. The combined power is 174 hp and a maximum torque of 325 Nm.
