The Isotta Fraschini will make its debut in the World Endurance Championship (WEC) and, before Christmas, completed two days of testing with the Duqueine team at the Estoril Circuit. It was another important moment in the project, with the presence of drivers Alejandro García and Jean-Karl Vernay.
Initially, Vector Sport had been announced as the partner team of the small Italian manufacturer, but for financial reasons, it ended up stepping aside, making way for Duqueine. The debut took place on the outskirts of Lisbon, where the Tipo 6 Competizione LMH was in action.
The sports manager of Isotta Fraschini, Claudio Berro, stated in a statement at the end of the work that it was a satisfactory test: ‘I am very pleased with the first test carried out by the Isotta Fraschini Duqueine team. It was also Alex García’s first time driving a Hypercar, and he behaved professionally, supported by Jean-Karl Vernay. The two Portuguese days had several long series of laps, in which the car performed perfectly, allowing us to gather a lot of information about the tires, tuning, and aerodynamic settings’.
