The Isotta Fraschini is not yet confirmed in the World Endurance Championship (WEC) lineup, but continues to work on its Hypercar – the Tipo 6 LMH Competizione. Recently, it was tested in Imola.
The tests took place in rainy conditions and lasted for two days, with Jean-Karl Vernay and Marco Bonanomi as the drivers. Between them, they covered over 750km.
The sports director of Isotta Fraschini, Claudio Berro, said quoted in SPEEDWEEK.com: ‘We can be satisfied with the Imola test – two days dedicated to fine-tuning the car before going to the wind tunnel for homologation and then to the FIA technical center in France. The weather variations between rain and sun gave us the opportunity to test the car in different configurations to simulate endurance races where weather variables are always possible. I would like to thank Jean-Karl, Marc, and the entire technical team for the excellent work they have done so far’.
