Isack Hadjar unleashes bold critique of 2026 F1 regulations: calls for faster, record-breaking cars

Isack Hadjar Slams 2026 F1 Regulation Overhaul: A Call for Speed and Excitement!

In a bold move that has sent shockwaves through the paddock, Isack Hadjar has joined the growing chorus of drivers voicing their discontent with the radical changes set to define the 2026 Formula 1 season. The French sensation, who is gearing up for his second year in the prestigious sport, is not merely lamenting the energy-saving measures that have drawn fire from the likes of Max Verstappen; instead, his focus is squarely on the one thing every driver craves—speed!

As Hadjar steps into his role with the Red Bull team, the impending regulation shift marks a pivotal moment in his career. It’s a complete reset, demanding that he recalibrate to the new machinery designed to revolutionize the sport. When questioned at the Bahrain International Circuit about whether these new beastly machines still exude the essence of Formula 1, Hadjar didn’t hold back. “Formula 1? Yes. For sure, I want to drive cars that can break lap records,” he passionately stated, his youthful enthusiasm palpable. “You know, that’s what you dream of when you’re a kid. So, yeah, I’d like to drive faster cars.”

However, the reality is sobering. Hadjar predicts that breaking lap records in the upcoming season is likely a distant dream, as the focus shifts towards energy management, ushering in a new era of technical complexities. “It requires using your brain a bit more, so it’s a bit more difficult for everyone,” he explained. “It’s less natural to drive, but there’s more of an opportunity to make a difference, that’s for sure.”

Despite the anticipated decline in overall speed from last season, Hadjar remains undeterred, his ambitions soaring higher than ever following his promotion to the Red Bull ranks. With a podium finish at Zandvoort last season under his belt, the young driver has set his sights on climbing even higher on the podium in 2026, armed with more powerful machinery. “I mean, for sure, the excitement of fighting for wins against top drivers is still going to be here, and that’s what matters the most,” he affirmed, his competitive spirit shining through. “But still, you’d like to do it in cars that are super, super fast. It makes it a bit better normally.”

As the clock ticks down to the 2026 season, Isack Hadjar’s candid critique highlights a critical juncture for Formula 1—a sport that thrives on speed, adrenaline, and the relentless pursuit of excellence. The question now lingers: will the new regulations stifle the thrill of racing, or will they pave the way for a more challenging and strategic competition? One thing is for certain: Hadjar’s call for speed resonates with fans and drivers alike, as the eagerly awaited season approaches. Buckle up, because the road ahead is set to be anything but dull!
