Red Bull Rising Star Defends Helmut Marko Against Critics

In a shocking turn of events, Red Bull’s rising star Isack Hadjar has come out in defense of Helmut Marko amidst claims of the advisor being “ferocious”. Despite the speculations surrounding Hadjar potentially partnering with Max Verstappen next year, the young driver remains loyal to Marko, crediting him for believing in his talent and paving his path to Formula 1.

Hadjar’s journey to Formula 1 has been nothing short of tumultuous, with a disastrous debut season in Formula 2 in 2023 almost derailing his career. Despite finishing below other junior drivers in the Red Bull program, Marko saw potential in Hadjar and decided to retain him for the following season. This decision proved to be a game-changer as Hadjar went on to secure the runner-up spot in the championship, earning him a well-deserved promotion to F1.

When confronted with the criticism of Marko being “ferocious”, Hadjar was quick to defend the advisor, emphasizing the instrumental role Marko played in shaping his career. Speaking on the Beyond the Grid podcast, Hadjar expressed his gratitude towards Marko for giving him a second chance after a challenging F2 season, stating, “He offered me a path, a trajectory to F1, and I delivered.”

Despite facing setbacks and frustrations early in his career, Hadjar acknowledged Marko’s hands-off approach during tough times, allowing him to navigate through challenges independently. The French-Algerian driver reflected on the pressure he faced within the junior program, being the last among six drivers but ultimately emerging as the sole candidate for the upcoming season.

As Hadjar’s star continues to rise in the world of motorsport, his unwavering loyalty to Marko showcases the unique bond between a mentor and a protégé. The behind-the-scenes dynamics at Red Bull shed light on the resilience and determination required to succeed in the fiercely competitive realm of Formula 1.

Stay tuned for more updates on the Red Bull Racing team as they gear up for upcoming challenges on the track.
