Isack Hadjar Sets Sights on Red Bull Promotion: “2026 Will Be a Game-Changer!”

The Formula 1 world is buzzing with excitement as young prodigy Isack Hadjar boldly asserts that stepping up to Red Bull’s senior team for the 2026 season will be “way easier” than the current landscape. Following a remarkable third-place finish at the Dutch Grand Prix, the 20-year-old Frenchman has captured the attention of fans and pundits alike, becoming only the fourth driver in Racing Bulls’ 19-year history to podium. With the clock ticking on the 2025 season and rumors swirling about team changes, Hadjar is positioning himself as a prime contender for a coveted spot alongside Max Verstappen.

As Yuki Tsunoda struggles in the shadow of the reigning world champion, finishing ninth in Zandvoort, Hadjar is rapidly emerging as a formidable alternative. “At the start of the year, I was asked if I felt ready to jump into Red Bull, and my answer was a firm ‘no.’ I don’t see the point in that right now,” Hadjar stated confidently in a press conference ahead of the Italian Grand Prix. However, he acknowledges that the 2026 season presents a unique opportunity: “It’s a brand-new start for the team; there won’t be any talk of a ‘second car thing.’ Everyone will be working with a fresh design.”

With a significant overhaul of F1’s chassis and engine regulations on the horizon, Hadjar believes that this new era will require drivers to play a pivotal role in shaping their cars. “You will need to direct the car in the right direction, and I think that’s actually interesting,” he explained, hinting at the strategic importance of the upcoming season.

Despite not having had any discussions with Red Bull’s motorsport advisor Helmut Marko regarding a potential promotion, Hadjar is ready to seize the moment. “It’s obviously something I have in mind; there are nine races left to prove I can do a very good job,” he said, with the determination of a rising star. “I want to drive for the best team. That’s all I want, really.”

As the Italian Grand Prix weekend approaches, the stakes are high for Hadjar and his Racing Bulls team. F1 enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting his next performance as he fights to solidify his place in the motorsports hierarchy. With the thrilling promise of the 2026 season looming, all eyes will be on this dynamic young driver as he seeks to etch his name into the annals of Formula 1 history.
