Liam Lawson’s Struggle to Make an Impact at Racing Bulls

Liam Lawson’s return to Racing Bulls has been nothing short of turbulent, with the driver expressing his disappointment at the lack of results so far. Despite showcasing promising speed, Lawson finds himself at a loss with zero points to his name after four grands prix. The New Zealander has been plagued by technical issues, including problems with his DRS and battery in Bahrain and Miami, hindering his performance on the track.

In comparison to his teammate Isack Hadjar, Lawson has faced challenges in securing competitive grid positions, with an average starting position of 14.5 compared to Hadjar’s 11. The French rookie has been outshining Lawson, consistently fighting for points and delivering strong performances. However, Lawson has shown flashes of potential, outqualifying Hadjar in trouble-free sessions and maintaining a slight advantage in lap times.

Despite his struggles, Lawson remains optimistic about his prospects, emphasizing the need to reset and focus on continuous improvement. The driver acknowledges the importance of staying clear of collisions and penalties to capitalize on the speed of the Racing Bulls car. With a positive mindset and determination to excel, Lawson is poised to turn his fortunes around and make a mark in future races.
