Lando Norris’ Championship Dreams Far From Over, F1 Expert Claims

In a thrilling turn of events, F1 pundit Johnny Herbert has declared that Lando Norris still has a fighting chance for the championship title, despite trailing behind Oscar Piastri this season. The 25-year-old British driver started the 2025 season on a high note, leading the drivers’ table until errors on the track allowed his teammate, Piastri, to overtake him. With Max Verstappen hot on his heels, Norris is facing intense competition for the runner-up spot, merely nine points away from the former.

Herbert’s unwavering belief in Norris’ potential comes as a beacon of hope for fans, as he emphasizes that the championship battle is far from over. While Piastri has emerged as a formidable contender alongside Verstappen, Norris still displays promising speed and skill on the track. McLaren Racing’s CEO, Zak Brown, echoes this sentiment, emphasizing that multiple drivers are vying for the coveted title this season.

The seasoned F1 expert urges Norris to harness all his energy and focus into maximizing his performance on the track, mirroring Piastri’s flawless execution. Despite facing setbacks, including a crash during the Saudi Arabian GP, Norris must rally to avoid further mistakes that could jeopardize his championship aspirations.

As the season unfolds, Herbert predicts a nail-biting showdown between Norris and Piastri for the ultimate title, dismissing the possibility of Verstappen dominating the forefront. While McLaren’s pace remains superior, competitors like Mercedes and Red Bull are closing in, underscoring the team’s need to sustain development to maintain their speed advantage.

In a season rife with twists and turns, Norris stands on the brink of greatness, poised to challenge Piastri for F1 supremacy. With Herbert’s vote of confidence and fans on the edge of their seats, the stage is set for a thrilling battle towards the championship crown.
