In a fiery debate on the Rubbin is Racing podcast, NASCAR insiders clash over whether Joey Logano truly deserves the title of the best active Cup Series driver. Amidst Logano’s recent win at Texas Motor Speedway, co-host Large boldly proclaimed Logano as the top driver in the Cup Series currently, sparking a heated discussion among the hosts.

Large defended his stance by highlighting Logano’s impressive track record, including two championships in the last three years. Despite this, co-host Spider raised doubts about Logano’s consistency and the need for a standout season to solidify his position as one of the greats in NASCAR.

While Logano’s victory in Texas showcased his ability to perform under pressure, critics point to his mixed performance this season, with an average finish of 18.0 and several finishes outside the top 20. This has led some to question whether Logano truly deserves the title of the best Cup racer at present, especially when compared to drivers like Kyle Larson with dominant stats.

The debate rages on as Logano aims to silence his critics and prove that he has what it takes to cement his status as one of NASCAR’s elite drivers. With the season unfolding, all eyes are on Logano to see if he can rise to the occasion and silence the naysayers once and for all.
