Iron Dames recruta dois jovens pilotos antes das competições de kart.

As Iron Dames, a women-only racing team, recently added two young drivers, Vicky Farfus and Mia Oger, to their driver program in preparation for the ROK and WSK karting championships.

Vicky Farfus, a talented driver from Brazil and Italy, caught the attention of Iron Dames by showcasing her skills at a selection event in Aragorn last December. At only 12 years old, Farfus achieved an impressive third place in her category at the 50-mile Granja Viana kart race in Brazil. She then transitioned from karting to international racing in the Mini 60 category.

Meanwhile, French driver Mia Oger also stood out among the twelve drivers at the selection event in Aragorn, securing a spot on the Iron Dames team. Oger began her karting journey at seven years old and quickly climbed the ranks in France, competing nationally at the age of 12. In 2022, Oger excelled as the top female participant at the IAME World Finals, and she plans to continue her racing career in France as part of the Iron Dames.

Deborah Mayer, founder of Iron Dames, expressed her excitement in welcoming Vicky and Mia to the team. She praised their passion, talent, and dedication, emphasizing Iron Dames’ commitment to supporting and guiding them in their racing careers. Mayer also highlighted the team’s mission to provide opportunities for the younger generation and pave the way for future female racing stars.

Both Vicky Farfus and Mia Oger will undergo rigorous testing and proudly represent Iron Dames in the ROK and WSK championships, displaying the team’s distinctive colors and visual identity. Additionally, Farfus will continue to participate in the Champions Of The Future Academy program while undergoing testing and competing in karting championships as an Iron Dame.

As Iron Dames, launched in 2018 by former President of the FIA Women in Motorsport Commission, Deborah Mayer, is an innovative project dedicated to elevating women in motorsport. The team has already achieved remarkable success, claiming pole position and victory in the LMGTE class of the European Le Mans Series season at the 4 Hours of Portimão in 2022, with drivers Sarah Bovy, Doriane Pin, and Michelle Gatting. In 2023, the Iron Dames made history by becoming the first all-female team to win a race in the World Endurance Championship at the 8 Hours of Bahrain. With the exceptional performance of young French driver Doriane Pin in the F1 Academy, the Iron Dames boast an impressive lineup of talented female drivers.
