The Indianapolis 500 race, which is part of the IndyCar series, has secured a new broadcasting agreement with Fox Sports for the year 2025. This exclusive agreement will see all races broadcast on the main network and the Fox Sports app, with Fox Deportes providing coverage in Spanish. Additionally, Fox will broadcast both the Saturday and Sunday qualifying sessions for the Indy 500, resulting in a total of 19 broadcast windows for the series in the upcoming season. The Indy 500 will receive special attention from Fox, with a dedicated five-hour coverage slot planned for Sunday, May 25, 2025. IndyCar practices and qualifications will be shown on FS1 and FS2, while most of the Indy NXT support series will also be broadcast on both channels.
IndyCar CEO Mark Miles expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating that it offers unprecedented exposure and growth opportunities for the sport. He praised Fox Sports as a committed partner, ready to provide engaging and technically innovative coverage for millions of fans across the country. Shank expressed his honor in becoming the new broadcasting home for “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing,” highlighting its importance to everyone at Fox Sports.
In addition to the broadcasting agreement, IndyCar has also released the race schedule for the 2025 season. The series will start with the St. Petersburg Grand Prix on Sunday, March 2, followed by a return to the Thermal Club on Sunday, March 23. The race at Gateway in St. Louis has been rescheduled for June 15, and the season will conclude at the Nashville Superspeedway on August 31.
