Penske Entertainment has selected The CW as the platform for the revival of its 100 Days To Indy documentary series. The series, consisting of six parts, will premiere in April following the launch of the new season on March 10 in St. Petersburg, Florida. It will provide a behind-the-scenes look at the early stages of the championship leading up to the Indianapolis 500, which takes place on May 26. The previous season of the show aired on The CW in 2023 and featured Josef Newgarden as the winner of the Indy 500.

Heather Olander, Head of Unscripted Programming at The CW, expressed excitement about bringing another season of 100 Days To Indy to the network. She highlighted the access the show provides to IndyCar racing and the journey of drivers like Josef Newgarden leading up to the iconic race. The series will be produced by Penske Entertainment, the owners of the IndyCar Series and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, along with Patrick Dimon and Adam Marinelli.

Racing docuseries have been growing in popularity, with Netflix’s Drive To Survive setting the standard with its focus on Formula 1. Netflix has also recently added NASCAR to its offerings with the Full Speed series. In the sports car realm, IMSA’s Win The Weekend premiered on YouTube in 2023, showcasing the new hybrid GTP cars. It is expected that the series will continue to gain traction among GT manufacturers in the upcoming 2024 season. Additionally, the FIA World Endurance Championship, IMSA’s European partners, had a series called Full Access on YouTube in 2023, and there have been rumors of a move to a larger streaming platform for its next season.
