NBC has announced its schedule and channels for the upcoming NTT IndyCar Series season, which will begin on March 10 in St. Petersburg and end on September 15 at Nashville Speedway. The season will consist of 17 races and 18 total events, including the non-points All-Star race at the Thermal Club.
The only race without a confirmed airtime is the event at Barber Motorsports Park on April 28, which will take place on Sunday afternoon.
Out of the 18 races, 10 will be shown on the NBC network, including the qualifying for the Indianapolis 500. This is a significant decrease compared to previous years, where NBC aired 13 out of 17 races in 2023 (76%) and 14 out of 17 races in 2022 (82%), including the first seven races.
The 2024 broadcast plan assigns the remaining races to NBC’s USA Network cable outlet on six occasions. Additionally, the exclusivity for its Peacock streaming service has doubled, with two events being exclusively available on the platform.
Throughout the season, fans can rely on Peacock for comprehensive coverage, as all sessions will be streamed on the digital platform. Peacock will offer over 120 hours of coverage, including nearly exclusive coverage of every qualifying and practice session in 2024. Furthermore, the platform will provide coverage of the 108th Running of the Indianapolis 500, all INDY NXT by Firestone races, race day warmups, and full-event race replays.
