ID. Buzz GTX é o “Pão de Forma” mais potente de sempre

VW has revealed the ID. Buzz GTX, the beefed-up version of the fully electric “Bread Loaf” with 340 hp and all-wheel drive..

With the same configuration as the ID.7 GTX Tourer, the new ID. Buzz GTX is equipped with a 286 hp electric motor on the rear axle, along with a second motor on the front axle with 109 hp, resulting in a combined power of 340 hp.

The two motors are powered by a 79 kWh battery capacity, available for the five-seater version, while the long variant with three rows of seats uses an 86 kWh capacity battery.

VW has revealed that the smaller capacity battery can be charged with up to 185 kW, allowing a 10 to 80% battery recharge in just 25 minutes. Meanwhile, the 86 kWh battery can receive charges of up to 200 kW, enabling a 10 to 80% battery charge in “less than half an hour”.

The German brand did not reveal data on autonomy, however, it did mention that the most powerful version of the ID. Buzz accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds, and that the maximum speed is limited to 160 km/h.

Benefiting from the power increase, the GTX version of the “bread loaf” now has a higher towing capacity, with the five-seater version offering 1800 kg, while the longer variant remains at 1600 kg. Furthermore, the 4Motion all-wheel drive promises to contribute to better traction, especially on low-grip surfaces.

Visually, the ID. Buzz GTX presents some new features compared to the base versions, with highlights including bumpers with a black honeycomb grille in the center, redesigned daytime running lights, as well as the incorporation of black body details, GTX mirror caps, complemented by 19’’ alloy wheels as standard, with 21’’ wheels available as an option.

Buzz GTX is available with configurations of five, six, and seven seats, with the second row able to move longitudinally by 150 mm or 200 mm, depending on whether it is the short or long variant, with only the long variant having capacity for seven seats.

Also noteworthy is the cargo capacity. The ID. Buzz GTX with five seats announces 1121 liters, which can reach 2123 liters with the seats folded down, while the long version has a capacity of 306 liters with all three rows of seats mounted, which can reach 1340 liters with only two rows of seats and 2469 liters with the second and third row seats folded down.

The new ID. Buzz GTX also features a significant hardware and software update for the series, now equipped with the new generation of infotainment system with new navigation menus and graphics, as well as a faster processor, supported by a new 12.9” touchscreen display with ChatGPT.
