To celebrate its 70th anniversary, Fiat and Abarth will support the iconic 600 from 1955, which will participate in the 1000 Miglia race, taking place from June 17 to 21, with an all-female team, paying tribute to Dante Giacosa, the most famous designer of the Italian brand, whose 120th anniversary will be celebrated this year.
Giacosa left an indelible mark on Italian automotive history with iconic models such as the Topolino, the 600, and the 500 — vehicles that helped make mobility an accessible right for all.
For the 1000 Miglia, Fiat will line up a rare light blue 600 from 1955, from the first series, usually displayed at the Centro Storico Fiat in Turin. Behind the wheel of the 1955 Fiat 600 will be an all-female team: Laura Confalonieri, assistant director of Ruoteclassiche, and Valentina Menassi, journalist and contributor to Il Giornale.
Throughout the celebration race, the Fiat 600 will feature several “support vehicles” such as the Fiat 600 Hybrid and the Abarth 600e, with FIAT and Abarth reaffirming their role as guardians of a unique legacy, capable of combining memory and vision, tradition and innovation, on the roads of the most beautiful race in the world.
