Ian Callum mostra a radical versão Shooting Brake do Vanquish

After presenting an updated version of the classic Jaguar E-Type in May, the English designer, Ian Callum, has now revealed the Vanquish 25 Shooting Brake, a new version of one of Aston Martin’s most iconic grand tourers.

In a post on social media, Callum, one of the most influential designers in the automotive industry, with a career spanning decades, including nearly 20 years at Jaguar, where he designed the original Aston Martin Vanquish, has now unveiled the shooting brake version, the Callum Vanquish 25 by R-Reforged, a coupe presented in 2020.

The shooting brake version of the Vanquish 25 features an appealing design, highlighted by the renewed front section, which includes a new light signature marked by modern headlights, circular LED daytime running lights, as well as larger side air intakes. Additionally, the side skirts and rear bumper have been redesigned compared to the coupe version, along with generously sized wheels.

Ian Callum has not revealed the mechanical specifications of this Vanquish 25 Shooting Brake, but if it uses the same engine as the coupe version, it will feature a 5.9-liter V12 with 580 hp, which can come with the original automatic transmission, or optionally, a six-speed manual transmission, which seems much better for purists.

For now, it is uncertain whether Ian Callum will be able to produce this more radical version of the Vanquish 25 Shooting Brake, but it is already known that everything depends on whether the company can attract enough interest to move this project forward. However, it would not be surprising if this modern version of the Vanquish goes into production in the near future, and has a quite limited edition.
