Hyundai is showing signs of a significant change in the visual identity of its electric models, with the presentation of two new concepts — Venus and Earth — that point to a new aesthetic approach in the Ioniq range.
Concepts anticipate a new design direction
The brand revealed teaser images of the two prototypes, suggesting a clear evolution from the retro-futuristic style that characterized models like the Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6.
The main difference lies in the lighting: the traditional “pixel” elements, which have become a signature of the range, may give way to simpler and more angular LED solutions.

Cleaner and more minimalist lines
The first glimpses show vehicles with more defined lines and cleaner surfaces:
- A model with a golden-toned rear, featuring thin and discreet headlights
- Another, in silver, with a front light signature in the shape of an arrow
The latter also features characteristics that suggest an SUV, such as protections in the wheel arches and a higher stance.
User-Centered Philosophy
Hyundai describes these concepts as part of a new phase in the Ioniq narrative, focusing on a cosmos-inspired aesthetic, but designed for people.
The brand aims to evolve the design without losing the technological identity that characterizes its electric vehicles.
Change After Success of Current Models
The Ioniq range has been recognized for its balance between range, performance, and charging speed, but also for its distinctive design based on pixelated elements.
With these new concepts, Hyundai may be preparing a new visual language for future models.
Presentation May Happen Soon
Although there is still no official confirmation, the concepts Venus and Earth are expected to be presented by the end of the month, with events such as the Beijing Auto Show or Milan Design Week pointed out as possible stages.
A New Chapter for Hyundai Electric
If confirmed, this change will mark a new stage in the evolution of the Ioniq range, with a more minimalist and contemporary approach to the design of the brand’s electric vehicles.
