Hyundai has installed two new N Hyper Chargers at the Nürburgring circuit, so that its customers can quickly charge their electric cars after some laps on the Nordschleife track, and thus return quickly to the track. The new ultrafast chargers from the South Korean manufacturer offer a maximum charging power of 400 kW and are located right at the entrance of the circuit – an infrastructure equivalent to that inaugurated in 2023 at the Inje Speedium circuit in South Korea.
“The N Hyper Chargers are part of our efforts to develop the necessary infrastructure to unleash the full potential of the Ioniq 5 N and Ioniq 6 N. We hope this milestone will allow more enthusiasts to conquer every corner of the ‘Green Hell’, making the most of electric performance. Hyundai remains committed to creating a high-performance electric vehicle ecosystem for everyone, ensuring that the joy of driving continues in the era of electrification,” said JooN Park, Vice President of the N Management Group at Hyundai Motor Company.
The new chargers are capable of charging up to four vehicles simultaneously, and with a maximum power of 400 kW, models such as the Ioniq 5 N and Ioniq 6 N can see their battery charge level recover from 10-80% in 18 minutes, given the ideal conditions of the power grid supply. The charging stations can be used for free by users registered in the Charge myHyundai mobile app (which is not, however, available in Portugal) and, for a fee, by vehicles of other brands.
