Hyundai Motor is considering a 1% increase in the price of its entire range available in the U.S. in order to minimize the impact of President Donald Trump’s tariffs.
The information was reported by “Bloomberg News,” citing sources close to the South Korean company, and indicating that the price increase could take place as early as the beginning of June, affecting all recently manufactured models, while leaving unchanged the models already at dealerships.
Although Hyundai has not confirmed the news reported by “Bloomberg News,” a spokesperson for the company told “Reuters” that the company “will continue to adapt to changes in supply and demand, and regulations, with a flexible pricing strategy and targeted incentive programs, and we will always find ways to add value for our customers”.
It should be noted that Hyundai has been taking measures to mitigate the impacts of tariffs imposed on imported vehicles, and in this regard, it has shifted the production of some versions of the Tucson from Mexico to the U.S.
