Hyundai continues to expand its SUV range and this time revealed the new Inster, a fully electric version of the compact SUV Casper, which the brand exclusively sells in South Korea. However, the new Inster will arrive in the markets of Europe, Middle East, and Asia-Pacific, thus becoming a global model.

With a length of 3.82 meters, a width of 1.61 meters, a height of 1.57 meters, and a wheelbase of 2.58 meters, the new Inster presents an adventurous look, with external protections, roof bars, and silver elements on the front and rear.
In addition, the front section stands out for the closed grille and the luminous signature marked by round headlights. In the rear, the Inster features a luminous signature with a pixelated appearance that crosses the tailgate, separated by the Hyundai logo.

The interior design was largely inherited from the Casper, although with more technology and different options of colors for the fabric upholstery. In addition, the digital cockpit stands out, equipped with two 10.25” screens, one for the instrument panel and another for the infotainment system.
Depending on the level of finishing, the Inster can include a wireless phone charging base, LED ambient lighting with 64 colors, heated front seats, and a comprehensive list of driving assistance systems.

In addition, the interior space of the Inster is quite versatile, as all the seats can be folded down, and the rear seats can also slide and recline to offer more legroom or space for luggage, as needed. This way, Hyundai announces that the small Inster’s trunk has a capacity of 280 liters, which can reach 351 liters with the rear seat folded down.
The Hyundai Inster will be available with two levels of motorization. The entry-level version is equipped with an electric motor with 95 hp and 147 Nm of maximum torque. The electric motor is powered by a 42 kWh battery, which promises a range of up to 300 km.

The Long Range version is equipped with a 113 hp electric motor and has a 49 kWh battery capacity, and announces a WLTP range of 355 km.
The South Korean brand has announced that the Inster benefits from fast charging capabilities of 120 kW DC, which allows the battery to be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 30 minutes. In a direct current (AC) socket of 11 kW, a full charge takes 4 hours for the base model or 4 hours and 35 minutes for the Long Range version. The Inster is also equipped with the V2L function, which allows it to power other electric devices.

Hyundai has also announced that the new Inster will initially arrive in the South Korean market, still during the summer, shortly after its public presentation at the Busan International Mobility Show, which starts on June 28th. The arrival in the remaining global markets of the model, which promises to have the most affordable price in the Hyundai range, is planned for later.
