Hyundai escolhe Eduardo Ramírez para Diretor de Design

Hyundai has announced the appointment of Eduardo Ramírez as the new Director of Design for the South Korean brand, who will lead the Design Europe Center.

With this appointment, Hyundai aims to strengthen the brand’s design competitiveness in the automotive industry, in order to provide “customer-focused design innovation”.

“I believe in the power of design to indicate paths for the future and I am committed to inspiring and empowering our designers to think boldly and provide the answers that will arouse the emotions of our customers in the future.”, Eduardo Ramírez stated in a press release.

The new Director of Design for Hyundai started his career as an exterior designer at Audi and later at General Motors. He joined the Hyundai Design Europe Center in 2007 and was responsible for important design projects for the European market, such as the i10, Kauai, Bayon, and Santa Fe.

“I am looking forward to witnessing a stronger and fresher Hyundai Design Europe under Eduardo’s leadership. He is the perfect person for the position, as he understands Hyundai’s design direction, which prioritizes customer values, and is the right person to conceive a design that can satisfy different types of customer lifestyles, while simultaneously valuing Hyundai’s heritage.”, emphasized SangYup Lee, Executive Vice President and Global Design Director of Hyundai.
