The Hyundai Motor Group took advantage of its presence at the latest edition of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, USA, to announce a strategic partnership with NVIDIA to accelerate the development of advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to drive the future of mobility.
Through this partnership, Hyundai aims to further enhance the application of intelligence to its core mobility products, such as software-defined vehicles and robotics, as well as across all its business operations.
“The Hyundai Motor Group is exploring innovative approaches with AI technologies in various fields, such as robotics, autonomous driving, and smart factories”, stated Heung-Soo Kim, executive vice president and head of global strategy office at Hyundai Motor Group. “This partnership is set to accelerate our progress, positioning the Group as a pioneer in driving AI-based mobility innovation.”
As part of the agreement, Hyundai will leverage NVIDIA’s accelerated computing and AI Enterprise software to help manage the vast amounts of data needed to safely develop and train its AI models for various applications.
In addition, the South Korean brand will also use the NVIDIA Omniverse platform to develop AI physical applications and digital twins to simulate its factories, helping to improve manufacturing efficiency and quality while simplifying costs. Furthermore, HMG will utilize the NVIDIA Isaac robot development platform to safely develop and implement AI robots.
