The Chinese company BYD is positioning itself as one of the main references in the field of electrification, with skills that go beyond the cars and batteries it produces. The business giant is also developing a charging infrastructure adapted to new demands and, in partnership with Shell, recently inaugurated the world’s largest electric vehicle charging station.
Located in Shenzhen, China, next to one of the factories of the Chinese electric car brand, this station has 258 charging bays, each with a capacity of up to 250 kW. According to Shell, the charging bays are covered and equipped with solar panels, which can generate about 300,000 kWh of renewable electricity per year, used to charge electric vehicles on site.
