Until the Abu Dhabi Autonomous Racing League

As always, most of the Formula 1 teams’ modifications for the Monaco Grand Prix weekend are focused on optimizing their cars for the unique demands of the circuit, rather than overall performance throughout the season.

However, there are still some noteworthy updates in the pitlane.

Mark Hughes provides an overview of the latest developments.

The current championship leader has introduced a rear wing specifically designed for Monaco, meeting dimensional regulations, along with an enlarged beam wing.

In addition to increasing the camber of the rear wing and beam wing for Monaco’s slow corners, Mercedes has also increased the volume of the inner section of the floor before the tunnel entrance to improve airflow.

The front wing now features a larger flap chord, providing the team with a wider range to achieve car balance.

The outer end geometry of the wing has been revised to increase vortex power and improve wheel wake control.

Ferrari has introduced a specific rear wing and beam wing for Monaco, both larger in size.

Like McLaren, Ferrari has opted for larger rear wing and beam wing specifically for the Monaco circuit.

Alpine has made available a front wing with more aggressive flap profiles to assist with car balance when combined with the standard Monaco rear wing and beam wing.

The front suspension fairings have been adjusted to optimize airflow in the circuit’s low-speed corners.

A specific rear wing and beam wing for Monaco, with increased chord length and higher angle of attack, have been implemented.

The team has introduced a specific complete package for Monaco, including a new rear wing, two-flap beam wing, and redesigned covers for the front suspension.

Although the high-pressure rear wing is designed for Monaco, the new double-pillar mounting is a development feature that will continue beyond this race, claiming increased aerodynamic efficiency.

Like Alpine and RB, Sauber has adjusted the angle of the front suspension cover to optimize airflow at lower speeds.

A specific rear wing and beam wing for Monaco have been implemented, along with enhanced cooling capacity.
