Hornets Willing to Trade 2 Veterans, Insider Reveals

The Charlotte Hornets are facing a challenging NBA season. With Brandon Miller experiencing some growing pains and LaMelo Ball struggling to stay healthy, their chances of competing have taken a hit. In light of their recent decision to part ways with Terry Rozier, it appears that the Hornets may be open to other trades.

According to a report by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Hornets are considering trading veteran forwards PJ Washington and Miles Bridges. Wojnarowski suggests that it is highly likely that both players will be playing for different teams by the trade deadline. The team is currently entertaining trade offers for Bridges and Washington.

Bridges’ potential departure doesn’t come as a surprise, as he was expected to leave the team in free agency last season. However, a domestic assault case compelled him to remain in Charlotte. The team faced criticism for bringing him back despite the allegations, and Bridges has been a trade target throughout the season.

Washington, on the other hand, is a versatile forward and small-ball center who could provide frontcourt depth to teams in need. He can contribute as a starter or off the bench, using his physicality in the paint or his shooting to stretch the floor.

Both players are young and have significant potential, making them attractive options for multiple contenders. However, giving up on them could potentially hinder the Hornets’ progress. Additionally, the team will need to carefully manage LaMelo Ball’s contract moving forward.
