REAÇÃO DE HORNER A RUMORES DE NEWEY DEIXANDO A RED BULL FÓRMULA 1

Christian Horner, the team principal of Red Bull Racing, has frequently addressed rumors surrounding the possible departure of Adrian Newey from his role as Chief Technical Officer. Newey has been part of Red Bull since its inception in 2006 and has designed cars that have won an impressive 13 F1 championships. Despite the success of Newey’s most recent creation, the RB20, which won all but one race in the first five stages of this season, speculations have arisen about his unexpected departure. The reasons behind Newey’s alleged intention to leave are related to allegations of inappropriate behavior against Horner. Although Horner has been cleared of these accusations, it is believed that Newey has been bothered by the media’s focus on Red Bull’s success rather than other issues. This is not the first time rumors have surfaced about Newey leaving Red Bull, as he has turned down offers from Ferrari on several occasions. In 2022, before Newey extended his contract until 2025, Horner discussed how Red Bull adjusted their technical team to accommodate Newey’s reduced involvement. The team appointed Pierre Wache as Technical Director and they have successfully delivered their projects with Newey’s support and collaboration. Red Bull responded to reports by stating that they were not aware of any potential offers from rival teams that Newey may be considering.
